WWII German Medic

About the WWII German Medic:

Field medics during World War II regularly entered intense combat zones, risking their own lives to save those of their fellow soldiers. Due to dwindling numbers of trained physicians late in WWII, many German Army medics operated alone or in two-man teams, sometimes even in conjunction with Allied field medics during brief truces after especially bloody combat.

The Brickmania WWII German Medic features a 360-degree UV printed white medic’s chest bib, along with medic’s pouches and pistol holster over a historically accurate “feldgrau” uniform commonly found in the German Army, using color matching print techniques pioneered by our print department. This custom figure also includes a printed medic arm brassard and helmet.

M29 Weasel - Cargo Carrier

About the M29 Weasel – Cargo Carrier:

Introduced in 1942 as an all-terrain vehicle capable of handling everything from loose sand to deep snow, the M29 Weasel saw action throughout World War II and into the Korean and Vietnam wars. The vehicle’s initial development was a result of Operation Plough, which was intended to be an assault behind enemy lines into Norway to disrupt the German atomic weapons program. The operation would’ve required small teams to be quickly transported across deep snow, and thus led to the creation of the M29. Despite the operation never coming to fruition, the M29 was still used effectively in every theater of World War II.

Specifications:

  • Speed: 36 mph (58 km/h)
  • Crew: 4
  • Weight: 1.8 tons

Additional Information about this Brickmania® custom building kit:

The M29 Weasel includes a working suspension, room for 3 minifigs, custom printed side panels, and an ax and shovel. The kit also features a fabric cover that allows for the addition of a canvas roof when the mission’s forecast looks less than ideal.

Panzer IV Ausf G - German Medium Tank

About the Panzer IV Ausf G – German Medium Tank:

In combat, few German tanks saw as much action as the Panzer IV. While the Panther and Tiger often grab the attention of history enthusiasts, the Panzer IV’s development and participation in World War II is unrivaled. The chassis for the Panzer IV served as the base for over a dozen different models outside of its own development, including tank destroyers, command vehicles, self-propelled artillery, and anti-aircraft guns. Developed in 1937 as part of Germany’s rearmament efforts, the Panzer IV participated in the invasion of Poland on September 1, 1939.

The first Panzer IVs were designed as infantry support vehicles. Armed with a short 7.5cm KwK, the tank excelled against infantry and fortifications. It proved extremely effective during blitzkrieg, forcing the French to surrender in summer 1940.

As the short barrel proved ineffective against enemy armor in Russia and North Africa, the Ausf G (sometimes referred to as the F2) variant was the first Panzer IV to be equipped with the longer, high velocity 7.5cm main cannon. This gun allowed the Panzer IV to engage other medium tanks such as the Sherman and T-34. The upgrade helped make the Panzer IV a top contender for the duration of the war until 1945.

Specifications:

  • Crew: 5
  • Armaments: 7.5 cm KwK 40 L/43 gun, MG34 machine gun
  • Engine: Maybach HL 120 TRM V12 gasoline
  • Top Speed: 26 mph (42 km/h)
  • Max Range: 130 mi (210 km)
  • Production: 1,700 (1942–1943)

Features:

  • Fully-articulating Brickmania Track Links™
  • Fully-rotating turret with posable main gun
  • Three opening hatches on the turret
  • Custom-printed Panzer Commander minifigure
  • BrickArms® MG34
  • 1/35th scale to match other Brickmania models

Panzer III Ausf. E - German Medium Tank

About the Panzer III Ausf. E – German Medium Tank:

The workhorse of early German conquests, the Panzer III provided the necessary speed and armament for blitzkrieg tactics. Mobilized by Erwin Rommel’s Afrikakorps, the Panzer III (and its variants) remained the most numerous German tank during the North African campaign. It also played a key role during the invasion of France and the Low Countries in 1940. Although underpowered against French and British tanks, the sheer concentration of armor against thinly deployed Allied tanks allowed the smaller Panzer III to overwhelm Allied armor units.

The Ausf E variant served as the standard for future models beginning with the Ausf F. The chassis for this tank would also serve as the basis for the StuG III Ausf G tank destroyer.

Specifications:

  • Crew: 5
  • Armament: 3.7 cm KwK 36 L/46.5 or 5 cm KwK 38 L/42, 3x 7.92mm MG34
  • Engine: Maybach HL 120 TR V12 gasoline
  • Speed: 24 mph (40 km/h)
  • Range: 102 mi (165 km)

Features of the Panzer III:

Brickmania’s Panzer III Ausf E kit is designed to represent the standard medium gun tank used by the German forces during the early years of World War II, wearing the colors of the famed Deutsches Afrikakorps. The kit includes fully articulated Brickmania Track Links™, a rotating turret with elevating 37mm high velocity gun, and opening hatches for the vehicle commander. It also includes a hull-mounted MG34 Machine Gun from BrickArms, and a sticker set with national insignia, turret numbers and the DAK logo. The Panzer III Ausf E kit was designed specifically with a number of add-on pack upgrades in mind, and can also be customized by the builder.

LeFH 18/40 - 10.5cm Light Howitzer

About the LeFH 18/40 10.5cm Light Howitzer (Ambush Camo):

Born from the German Army’s need for a lighter, more transportable howitzer, the 10.5 cm LeFH 18/40 first saw action in 1942 and continued service until the end of the war in 1945. Featuring a double-baffled muzzle brake, the LeFH 18/40 barrel and gun mount connected to a two-wheeled trailer with a split trail leg recoil system that doubled as a tow leg while in transport. Crewed by four to six soldiers, the LeFH 18/40 was capable of firing six to eight rounds per minute, with an effective range of nearly 14,000 yards.

Natasha - WWII Seabees Bulldozer

About Natasha – WWII Seabees Bulldozer:

Featured in the John Wayne classic The Fighting Seabees, the bulldozer named Natasha was part of the equipment used by the naval construction battalions known as Seabees — the nickname comes from the initials of their official designation: Construction Battalion or C.B. Born from the need for infrastructure on small islands in the South Pacific, the Seabees were tasked with various projects such as repairing airfields and roadways, all to be completed under the most difficult and dangerous of circumstances. Their ingenuity was legendary as they were known to fix equipment in unorthodox ways, including using oil drums to craft bulldozer radiators. Upon their creation, Admiral Ben Moreell bestowed them with their official motto Construimus, Batuimus: “We Build, We Fight.”

Additional information about this Brickmania® custom building kit:

Standing approximately 3 inches high and 5 inches long, the Brickmania Seabees Bulldozer includes a custom printed Seabees tile, detailed tractor engine, posable dozer blade, and adjustable controls, making it the perfect addition to any Pacific Theater construction MOC.

About the DH.98 Mosquito FB Mk.VI – WWII Twin-Engine Fighter-Bomber:

Designed for intruder missions at low altitudes, the DH.98 Mosquito FB MK.VI first took to the skies in 1942. Equipped with an impressive attack armament the Mosquito was nicknamed the “Wooden Wonder” because of the use of wood throughout the aircrafts design. Performing well in all of its roles, the Mosquito served throughout WWII and into the Cold War era until its retirement in 1963.

Specifications:

Pak 40 - Anti-Tank Gun

About the Pak 40 – Anti-Tank Gun:

Designed shortly before the outbreak of World War II, the Pak 40 anti-tank project was shelved due to the lighting-fast success by the Wehrmacht. After Operation Barbarossa, the Pak 40 was immediately put into production with its battlefield debut during the battle for Kharkov in May 1942. The Pak 40 had a remarkably low silhouette, making it easy to conceal in spite of its size. The Pak 40 could defeat the heaviest Allied tanks up until the end of the war.

6 Pounder 57mm Anti-Tank Gun

About the 6 Pounder 57mm Anti-Tank Gun

First used in 1942 during the Battle of Gazala, the Ordnance Quick-Firing 6-pounder, or simply 6 Pounder, fired a 57mm projectile that exited the barrel at an impressive 2,700 feet per second and, against German armor such as the Panzer IV, had an effective range of just over 1,600 feet. Used primarily by US and British forces, the 6 pounder was an incredibly versatile anti-tank gun that outfitted a number of tanks and armored vehicles as well as functioning as a six-man artillery unit that could be towed across different terrain surfaces.

WWII US Army Ranger - 2nd Rangers at Pointe du Hoc

About the WWII US Army Ranger – 2nd Rangers at Pointe du Hoc

One of the most infamous assaults in Operation Overlord, the taking of Pointe du Hoc provided an essential position for Allied forces to solidify their foothold in France. Located atop a 100-foot cliff, the German defenses had a perfect artillery placement to fire on American forces invading at Omaha and Utah beaches. It was up to Lt. Col. James E. Rudder and the 2nd Ranger battalion to climb the monstrous cliffs and capture the German artillery units. Despite excruciating casualties, the Rangers captured the guns and defended them for two days. When they were finally relieved by Allied forces, just 90 of the initial 225 Rangers still stood combat ready.

The WWII Pointe du Hoc US Army Ranger minifig features 360° UV printed Normandy assault gear, Ranger sleeve insignia, and 2nd Battalion Rangers emblem on the helmet. This minifig was designed by Lando and custom printed at Brickmania HQ.
